'Orange Is the New Black' season 5 air date, updates, spoilers: Taystee goes to war

"Orange is the New Black" season 5 will see warfare in Litchfield brought about by the death of Poussey (Samira Wiley).

Taystee (Danielle Brooks) is not standing idly about the matter and will make sure that her friend's death will be avenged, especially with Caputo (Nick Sandow) not even honoring her.

"It's war," Brooks told The Hollywood Reporter as she spoke about the repercussions of Poussey's death in "Orange is the New Black" season 5.

"Taystee has nothing to lose; she's lost everything that she cared so deeply about. It's time to fight. I think—I don't know!—but I think that's where we will see Taystee go," she continued.

Taystee has already lost a lot of important people in her life and losing Poussey, she will not sit around and do nothing as the prison downplays her death.

"You see Taystee in the beginning as someone who is just full of light and love. Then she lost her 'mother' Vee and had no explanation of how she died, while she's also watching out for all of these women," Brooks said. "Now she's seen the death of her closest friend and has no justice for that," the actress continued.

Poussey's loss and the lack of clarifications and respect from Caputo might also lead Aleida (Elizabeth Rodriguez) to do something crazy in "Orange is the New Black" season 5.

In the middle of the riot last season, Daya (Dascha Polanco) got a hold of a gun. Aleida knows that her daughter is in grave danger, which might lead her to do something to make sure Daya will come out alive.

Meanwhile, it is unclear at the moment if Lolly (Lori Petty) will be featured in "Orange is the New Black" season 5 after being sent to the psych ward. Petty is willing to return and reprise the role.

Although the show is set in the prison, it has also followed inmates being sent to other facilities and the show is expected to do the same with Lolly.

"Orange is the New Black" season 5 is expected to premiere June next year on Netflix.
