The online multiplayer shooter video game of Blizzard Entertainment is reported to be among the few to sport a cross-platform gaming which will connect the user of PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms while playing. Reports online have said Microsoft had previously raised the possibility of having this feature and said that they are working on that feature to link the players together.

However, the "Overwatch" game director Jeffrey Kaplan revealed in an interview that the cross gameplay feature for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms may not push through in the upcoming game. He explained that "Overwatch" is a shooter video game, and it will be unfair for some console gamers which will have the disadvantage due to the restrictions imposed by their device. Those who are using the PC platforms will easily get the advantage as using the mouse and keyboard will give the players a better precision compared to those using the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controllers.

The reception of this possibly feature from the gamers has also been mixed, the Express UK reported. This is mainly because of the unfair advantage for the PC users over the PS4 and Xbox One users, if ever this cross-platform feature in "Overwatch" will be implemented.

Meanwhile, Blizzard announced that they will be having another open beta testing for Overwatch. The last beta test already closed last April 25 and they are now preparing to hold another open beta testing next month, the Gamerant reported, The new rounds of open beta test will be held from May 5 to 9 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platform users. Those who have already pre-ordered "Overwatch" will be given an early access to the beta version on May 3. The open beta will be shut down on May 9 in preparation for the official release of "Overwatch" on May 24.
