In recent weeks, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors has been linked to moves away from the team but the franchise appears determined to keep one half of the Splash Brothers in the Bay Area.

There were initial talks linking Thompson to the Boston Celtics, but these were eventually shot down by Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

At the moment, the Warriors do not seem to be having any trouble as they are on an eight-game winning streak, and Thompson has been a big part of the reason behind this.

This season, Thompson has overcome his slow start and averages 20.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. His shooting is also improving as he shoots 46 percent from the field and 34 percent from beyond the arc.

However, new talks are brewing as many wonder if Thompson can fit another franchise, like the Philadelphia 76ers.

Trade talks may start anew as the Warriors are unlikely to keep all of their star players for a long time, and the Sixers look like a start-up team that could be a strong force in the years to come.

With that, many are wondering if Thompson can lead the Sixers with his shooting, while the team keeps their other players like Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons to complement the Splash Brother.

While a deal this year may be a long shot, the Sixers may use their growing number of budding players to lure the Warriors into making a deal with them so they can get younger stars in their lineup.

As for the Sixers, Thompson seems like a realistic target as he can provide the team with a pure shooter with defensive capabilities as well.
