PS4 news, updates and games: 'Infinite Warfare,' 'Spider-Man,' 'Street Fighter V,' and 'God of War 4' seen in trailer

Still of Kratos' new look in the upcoming "God of War" game for the PS4 | Youtube/Playstation

The PS4 Pro just released but the marketing team of Sony seems to want to focus on the upcoming games that will be coming out for the platform in 2017. A new commercial has been launched. Titled "The King," it showcases all the different titles coming to the PS4 like "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," the new "Spider-Man" game, and the upcoming "God of War 4."

The trailer focuses on a character who is presumed to be "The King" as he drops in and out of reality and fantasy while an eerie cover of the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams" plays in the background. The trailer has glimpses of different upcoming games that see The King placed in the scenes.

Other references are more subtle, like the villagers playing with puppets that resemble characters like Blanka and Dhalsim from the "Street Fighter" franchise, but others have outright cameos like Spider-Man in his new suit for the game, and the new bearded Kratos from "God of War 4."

Speaking of "God of War 4," it's reported that the game may drop the "4" from the title and act like some sort of reboot that will put the protagonist Kratos in the world of Norse mythology. "God of War" was a Playstation exclusive that started on the PS2 and ended with "God of War 3" on the PS3.

From the looks of the E3 trailer, Kratos will wield a new weapon that takes the form of an axe, very different from his signature "Blades of Athena." The game will also have him accompanied by his son who will be wielding a bow and arrow.

The new "Spider-Man" game is also something fans are looking forward to. The title will feature a new suit that doesn't resemble anything from the comics. It sports the traditional red and blue elements, but it also has a giant white spider on the chest. The eyes of the suit are also animated — much like the suit from Spider-Man (Tom Holland) in "Captain America: Civil War."

All the games in the "King" trailer are expected to come out in 2017.
