'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date news 2016: Take-Two Interactive to announce RDR2 at Gamescom 2016?

Good news for "Red Dead Redemption" fans as reports are circulating that Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive are planning to host a big announcement in August to reveal the highly anticipated "Red Dead Redemption 2."

After a disappointing no-show at the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, the latest news about the second installment of the open world, western action-adventure video game certainly give so much hope to the millions of "Red Dead Redemption" fans.

Take-Two Interactive has already confirmed their attendance at the upcoming Gamescom 2016 in Germany. According to Game-Debate, the game developer will announce the arrival of "Red Dead Redemption 2" during their presser at the event.

Although Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have yet to confirm these reports, many fans believe that Gamescom 2016 is the perfect place for the title to be revealed

In other news, TweakTown reported that for some reason Rockstar Games will not be attending the event in Germany. However, fans are still hopeful that the game will still be announced because Take-Two Interactive will be holding a presser at the event.

The original title was released in 2010 and since then fans have been wondering if there will ever be another installment of "Red Dead Redemption."

Meanwhile, aside from the highly anticipated "Red Dead Redemption 2," Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are also planning to release multiple titles in the near future.

During the Fiscal Year 2016 earnings call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that the company has several exciting plans for the fans.

"Looking ahead, we expect to grow Non-GAAP revenues and earnings in fiscal 2018, based on our robust development plan that extends well beyond the current fiscal year," Zelnick said. "Rockstar Games is of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon."

As of the moment, Rockstar and Take-Two have yet to provide concrete details regarding "Red Dead Redemption 2."
