There is limited information available online regarding Samsung's latest phablet flagship, the Galaxy Note 6. Many people believe that the South Korea-based tech giant is ready to release the new Galaxy Note model this year, although it is still not yet confirmed by the company itself. There are rumors that Galaxy Note 6 will be released earlier than usual, or at least a month ahead of the anticipated release of Apple's iPhone 7 Plus. There are also signs that Samsung is about to launch the newest Galaxy Note model as huge price discounts now apply to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S6 units.

According to a known gadget news leaker online, Evan Blass, the Galaxy Note 6 will be out within the same period that the Galaxy Note 5 was released. The recent device came out in August last year, and the new Galaxy Note model is expected by Blass to be released no later than the 15th day of August, Yibada reported.

The August 2016 launch of Galaxy Note 6 may actually be possible because there are huge price cuts seen in older Galaxy phone and phablet units as early as now. This is usually the case when electronic and tech companies are offering promo discounts for their older products as a way to prepare their shelves for the arrival of the newer models.

The Galaxy S7 was launched earlier this year, while the Galaxy S6 was released in 2015. One example of the huge price cut is the reported price cut of nearly $100 for buying Galaxy S7, the Phone Arena reported. The new promo is currently offered by Newegg, and according to the report, the original price of Galaxy S7 is brought down further to $530. Meanwhile, BGR reported that the 32 GB on-board memory variant of Galaxy S6 is currently on special sale in B&H Photo. The discounted price of S6 is reported to be only $449. The S6 device is unlocked so there are no restrictions imposed anywhere in the world with respect to the GSM network provider.

The latest specs rumors for the Galaxy Note 6 include a 5.9-inch AMOLED display with 4K screen resolution. The microchip set that is going to power up the latest Galaxy Note model will be the enhanced main chipsets of Galaxy S7, particularly Snapdragon 823 and an "overlocked" Exynos 8890. Galaxy Note 6 is expected to have up to 6 GB RAM, 9to5Google reported.
