FOX's comedy series "Scream Queens" season 2 is taking a week off the air, but when it does finally return next week for its third episode, the stakes will be even higher.

Two deaths had already occurred in Dr. Munsch's C.U.R.E. Institute and the most telling evidence of his identity that the killer left behind were slimy green footsteps on the floor. It was interesting to note as well that both murders somehow involved Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin), who was even accused of being a suspect during the investigations into the murder of C.U.R.E.'s first patient, Catherine (Cecily Strong).

However, Chanel #5 could not have killed the second victim, Tyler (Colton Haynes), with whom she had fallen in love with after seeing how "hot" he really was underneath the hideous tumors covering his entire body. It was at this point that the Chanels finally figured out that they had another psycho killer on the loose.

But could this new killer be specifically aiming to frame Chanel #5 for the murders, or were her involvements just a gross coincidence on both times?

Meanwhile, Chad (Glen Powell) was back for Chanel, and very quickly took his rivalry with Dr. Brock (John Stamos) very seriously. In wanting to discredit the good doctor in Chanel's eyes, he had Dr. Brock's transplanted hand investigated. It turned out that the hand belonged to a squash-playing serial killer named Marshall Winthrop (Jay Whittaker), who was responsible for the death of over 600 squash players who had lost to him.

Does this revelation mean that Dr. Brock's hand, which seemed to take on a mind of its own at times, could be responsible for the killings without the doctor's full knowledge?

Another likely candidate for this season's killer is Dr. Ingrid Hoffel (Kirstie Alley), who asked for Zayday's (Keke Palmer) help in keeping track of the Chanels' activities around the hospital. Tech Times speculated that she could have been the pregnant woman, whose husband died during the hospital's (then known as Our Lady of Perpetual Suffering) Halloween party celebrations thirty years ago. She could very well be the Green Meanie's vengeful mother.

The third episode of "Scream Queens" season 2 titled, "Handidate" will feature Chanel and Chad's engagement and Dr. Brock possibly taking matters into his evil transplanted hand. A survivor of the 1980s Halloween massacre has also been found for questioning, and Dr. Cascade reveals to Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd) that he is actually "dead."

"Scream Queens" will return on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. EDT on FOX.
