After the successful deal of Marvel Studios with Sony Pictures, the iconic Marvel superhero Spider-Man has now been finally introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The rebooted character of the web-slinging crime buster made its first appearance in his new home studio in the latest Marvel feature film, "Captain America: Civil War." Critics and audience alike positively received the new depiction of Spider-Man and Peter Parker as a teenage New Yorker, but the speculations have started whether Marvel Studios will share the production responsibilities with Sony Pictures in Spidey's anticipated solo movie. Sony was the first studio to create the movies featuring Spider-Man.

According to a recent report from the entertainment news website HeyUGuys, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has already confirmed that his studio will have the full creative control of the much awaited Spider-Man reboot next year. This is in spite of the fact that Sony Pictures still has a hold on the Spider-Man franchise after they made a deal with Marvel Studios. It was noted that Feige has a good relationship with Sony Pictures heads, Amy Pascal and Tom Roth Man, thus coming up with a successful partnership for Marvel's Spider-Man reboot.

The new Spider-Man movie is now officially titled "Spider-Man Homecoming," and the person tasked to play the titular character is the teen British actor Tom Holland.

Many fans have also waited for the news about the actress playing the role of Mary Jane Watson, the love interest of Peter Parker. It was previously reported that "The Duff" actress Bella Thorne is likely to bag the role, although the recent report from Fansshare reveals that Thorne's portrayal of Mary Jane Watson has been ruled out. Thorne has been vocal that she wanted to play a Marvel character, possibly the rumored Lady Deadpool character in the "Deadpool" sequel.

It was also rumored that the former "Batman" and "Birdman" star Michael Keaton was offered to play the villain character in "Spider-Man Homecoming," but he has reportedly turned down the role. The rumored villains for the upcoming Spider-Man movie are Kraven the Hunter and The Vulture. Pop singer Zendaya has also been signed in the movie, and Robert Downey Jr. is also expected to appear as Tony Stark/Iron Man.
