'Spider-Man: Homecoming' release date news: Set photos confirm Iron Man's involvement

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is set to hit theaters in July 2017 | Marvel

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is currently shooting in New York and a lot of set photos have been leaked, showing Tom Holland dressed as the Webslinger. The scenes have also hinted at the involvement of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in the movie, and there are even posters of the Stark World Expo which are dated Oct 10–27, 2018.

Photos and videos come from numerous Twitter accounts that have been following the production. Some speculate that the Stark Expo may be related to the Vulture suit that Michael Keaton's character will be using in the movie.

The last time that Marvel audiences got to see the Stark Expo was in "Iron Man 2" back in 2010 — that is, if they are not counting the Stark Expo in "Captain America: The First Avenger" which took place in the 40s.

"Spider-Man" is slated to come out in 2017, and since Marvel movies play at the present time, it's possible that the Stark Expo would not take place in the movie — unless the movie plans to flash-forward to the year 2018.

There are also photos of Holland (as Peter Parker) receiving a package delivered to him from who looks like one of Tony Stark's lackeys. The person may be standing in for Downey, but other news has also confirmed that Jon Favreau will be returning in the movie as Happy Hogan, one of Stark's colleagues. It is also possible that the man in the car is standing in for him.

One video also has Holland running down the street in full Spidey garb before taking cover behind a car and taking off the mask. Other fans have also spotted Holland in some classic Spidey poses from the comics, something that Andrew Garfield did when he was playing Spider-Man.

Reception for Holland's Spider-Man have been positive so far, and a lot of fans are incredibly happy that Marvel Studios and Sony have decided to share the character.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
