Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) will take part in an epic battle in "Star Wars Episode 8" where he will show his new Jedi abilities, according to a new rumor.

Although the Jedi Master did not have a lot of screen time as fans would have wanted in "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens," this won't be the case in the next film.

A new rumor claims that Luke will be in a massive fight scene against the Knights of Ren where he singlehandedly takes them on in "Star Wars Episode 8."

This begins when Luke and Rey were in Ahch-To at sunset. The battle is preceded by rainfall, which should make for a dramatic scene in "Star Wars Episode 8" for sure.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) battles Rey although he no longer has his mask on. Luke was left to fight the Knights of Ren that came with the villain. There, Luke shows that despite being an old man, he would have no problem engaging in a fight.

In fact, being secluded for a while allowed him to grow his abilities. As per the rumor, he takes on an axe-wielding Ren by throwing him at a great distance using the Force.

For another Ren, he uses the green lightsaber, and he easily breezes through the Rens, dispatching them one by one in this "Star Wars Episode 8" fight scene.

Meanwhile, as Luke kicked a lot of bad guy behind, Rey appears to have been defeated by Ben, who ran off and made the right decision not to fight his uncle seeing what he did to his men.

However, Rey seems to have fallen off the cliff and just went missing following the battle. Fans can count on her returning better than ever as this lightsaber duel is said to just be one of the two she will have with Ben in "Star Wars Episode 8."

Meanwhile, Hamill recently teased at the Salt Lake City Comic-Con that the film will feature an "elaborate special effects sequence." There's no word on what it will be about, but it indicates that the sequel is going big.

"Star Wars Episode 8" will be in cinemas on Dec. 15, 2017.
