Though the release of David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" was met with another divisive reaction from the fans, there's no harm in admitting that the movie's decision to cast Margot Robbie as the Joker's maniacal girlfriend was anything less than perfect. Fans will also be happy to hear that Robbie has also admitted that she wants to play the character "forever."

In an interview with ComicBook, Robbie says that she plans to play Harley for as long as her body could allow it. "I hope forever. I really, I could play Harley for a long time. I don't know how long. We've signed on, I mean I think everyone's committed to a couple of films," said the actress.

Aside from Robbie, her co-star Jai Courtney, who plays Captain Boomerang in the movie, said, "Yeah, we're all around for a few movies, should they choose to make them, and I hope so." The actor then added, "I'm having way too much fun to think about letting this go anytime soon."

Though a lot of behind-the-scenes drama recently surfaced after the film's release, it appears that several of the cast members had a wonderful time shooting the movie. Each cast member even had a tattoo of "SKWAD" to commemorate their time on set.

Robbie also isn't the first actor to show such devotion to playing an iconic comic book character. Actor Ryan Reynolds has made a similar statement when it comes to playing Wade Wilson, also known as The Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool. After being in development hell for 10 years, "Deadpool" eventually hit cinemas this year with groundbreaking success. The movie is said to be the highest R-rated film of all time, and Reynolds has been perfectly cast as the smart-mouthed assassin.

"Suicide Squad" is out in theaters now, and fans will be sure to catch more of Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn in the future.
