There have been a lot of talks for the past several weeks regarding the anticipated sequel to Naughty Dog's popular apocalypse video game "The Last of Us." The game studio has already placed some hints on their other video game regarding the future of "The Last of Us" game series. The most recent rumor suggests that Ellie, one of the main protagonists of the first video game, will be the focus of the upcoming game sequel.

As reported by the news website Yibada, the developers of "The Last of Us" have posted a teaser on Twitter on May 19 regarding the features of the sequel. The statement revealed that Ellie will be the only focus of "The Last of Us 2" as far as the storyline and plot development of the new installment are concerned. It can be noted that Ellie is the only human survivor immune to the deadly virus that has turned the entire world into a wasteland full of mutated zombie-like beings. If this were the case, then "The Last of Us 2" will possibly tackle Ellie's immunity to the virus and find ways to use this immunity to eradicate the infection.

The Easter egg found by the "Uncharted 4" players while playing the said video game has also hinted on the possible storyline centered on Ellie. In the game, there can be seen a mysterious poster showing a pregnant woman with an appearance that resembles that of Ellie. The caption of the poster is "The Last of Us: American Daughters." The pregnant woman who looks like Ellie is wearing a gas mask with a gun in her left hand.

The poster of the pregnant woman shown in the epilogue of "Uncharted 4" may not necessarily pertain to Ellie. Game N Guide reported that the character may be a pregnant Ellie, or she may also be Ellie's mother. It can be noted that the pregnant woman in the poster is holding a gun using her left hand, which contradicts the fact that Ellie is not a leftie.
