According to spoiler reports, the episode for this week titled "By Dawn's Early Light" features a local concert turning into a horrifying event. A seemingly innocent event causes a lot of concertgoers to be injured due to a fireworks explosion. TC (Eoin Macken) and Topher (Ken Leung) are tasked to go to the area where the accident happened and treat the victims. While the rest of the rescue team continue to stabilize the place, another huge explosion goes off, causing one of the team to get hurt. Topher will have a minor injury as well.

On another note, Syd (Jennifer Beals) returns home after being deployed overseas. She chooses to go back to work immediately and help out the rescue team, but her mind is still somewhere else. Syd is preoccupied with her plans involving her young daughter, and it might get in the way of her work. Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) and Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) set their personal issues aside to tend to the patients, and in the process of working together, they realize how much similarities they have with each other. Jordan (Jill Flint) and Scott (Scott Wolf) also try to put their conflict behind in order to do their work properly.

To give fans an idea of what's in store for episode 7, the official synopsis reads:

"T.C. and Topher rush to a concert venue where a fireworks explosion has caused panic; Syd tries to decide the best plan for her and her daughter; Paul and Shannon find they have more in common than they thought."
