The fourth movie in the "Toy Story" franchise is already in the works, and it features Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) on a new adventure. Meanwhile, the film will involve a love story between two toys.

"Toy Story 4" has long been confirmed by Disney, and it will be directed by John Lasseter, who spearheaded the first "Toy Story" film that came out in 1995.

In a post that Lasseter shared on Facebook, the director expressed his enthusiasm for the fourth sequel and how the inspiration for the film came out.

"We love these characters so much; they are like family to us. We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before. 'Toy Story 3' ended Woody and Buzz's story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another 'Toy Story' movie," Lasseter explained.

The director then said that after he and his team found a new idea, they found themselves very excited, and they decided that they will push through with the fourth "Toy Story" movie.

"Toy Story 4" will be going in a new direction, and according to The Global Dispatch, Pixar president Jim Morris said that the film will not focus on the relationship of the toys with their owners.

The story will follow a love story between Woody and Bo Peep, which will be voiced again by Annie Potts. Bo Peep was last seen in "Toy Story 2," and this coming fourth sequel, Woody and Buzz will go on a search to find her.

The storyline for "Toy Story 4" might bring in new characters, including "a laid back mom who's described as a hippie" to be voiced by Patricia Arquette, according to The Wrap.

"Toy Story 4" is slated to premiere on June 21, 2019.
