'Wayward Pines' season 2 spoilers: Will Theo ever trust Rebecca again after her startling revelation?

"Wayward Pines" season 2 is now deep in its run, and thus far, viewers have a clearer picture of the characters (both old and new) that run the show.

In the most recent episode titled "Sound the Alarm," much light was shed about the Abbies and their existence. However, for that to happen, Megan (Hope Davis) had to experiment on a captured female Abbie, the first one they have captured.

According to Movie News Guide, it proved to be more difficult than expected especially since Megan wasn't sure how the Abbie would react to the experiment. Needless to say, Megan deduced that "there's something anthropological" about the Abbie she was studying.

However, if the synopsis shared by Carter Matt is any indication, it looks like this Wednesday's episode would be even more thrilling.

"The Abbies attack CJ and the harvesters, leaving Teresa in grave danger and the town dangerously low on food supplies. Then, Theo constructs a makeshift triage unit, but he may not be able to repair his marriage to Rebecca. Also, Xander still has some fight left in him as Jason questions his abilities to lead," the synopsis read.

Judging from the synopsis, it looks like Rebecca's (Nimrit Kaur) revelation from the last episode would have a profound effect on her relationship with Theo (Jason Patric). It would be remembered that she told Theo she knew David Pilcher (Toby Jones) even before he built the town. Apparently, she was the architect who designed the town.

Seeing as how dark mysteries seem to surround the idyllic town, it wouldn't be surprising why Theo reacted the way he did and why he might find it hard to trust Rebecca again. After all, she was the reason why they ended up in the town.
