When rumors started that gaming console companies are going to develop new devices for players to enjoy, Microsoft is said to be also planning on making their own Xbox Two.

Phil Spencer, Microsoft's Xbox head, recently explained during his appearance at the Build 2016 in April that he wishes to build a possible new device that will become a successor of the current Xbox One. Although the Xbox boss did not reveal any information with regard to the rumored Xbox Two, he said that if the company had to make a new console, it would be a major upgrade.

"I'm not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. If we are going to move forward, I want to move forward in big numbers," Spencer explained in a report by Game Spot. "For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it's reliable, the servers are doing well. If we're going to go forward with anything, like I said, I want it to be really substantial change for people — an upgrade."

Meanwhile, Microsoft made it clear that they will not be announcing any hardware changes anytime soon. However, Spencer said that if a new console materializes, it will have the latest and the best technology it could possibly have.

One of the possible spec fans are looking at is the 4K resolution output; however, there are also players who suggest that the device may have the ability to be connected to the Windows 10 operating system as well as a new game controller. Rumor has it that the upcoming Xbox Two will have the backward compatibility option, which is the same as the current Xbox One.

As of now, Microsoft has yet to confirm the Xbox Two development, much less its release date. However, there are reports suggesting that the new console may come out in 2019, while there are some who are saying that players will have to wait until 2020.
