Air Jordan 9 Low release date, specs news 2016: 'Pantone' features, June launch date expected
Fans of the Air Jordan, particularly the Jordan 9, are going to be given a treat as the Air Jordan 9 Low "Pantone" is set for its release on the second week of June.
Many sneakerheads will find the shoe's colorway very familiar.
Dubbed as "Pantone," the pair will have the Carolina Blue all over the upper, paying homage to Michael Jordan's alma mater of the University of North Carolina.
Furthermore, this "Pantone" look was made famous by its Air Jordan XI counterpart which was considered as one of the best shoes from the Jordan Brand.
The shoe is pretty simple and straight-forward as it has an all-leather upper with white and black details throughout the shoe.
Everything from the lateral, medial, heel and toe are covered in blue and even the mesh tongue has the same hue.
The color breaks on the "Air Jordan" label on the tongue and the inner lining of the shoe which is black.
There are more black hits on the back of the shoe with the rubberized "Air Jordan" logo with a globe embossed, while a white stitching of 23 can be found underneath it.
The sole is made from all white to complete its clean look, only to have the same University Blue found on the back part of the outsole in the iconic "Air Jordan" logo.
Inside is an orange insole that gives the shoe a hidden contrast.
The shoe, which is expected to be released on June 11, will retail for $170 and should be available in various retail stores throughout the country.
Jordan Brand is not slowing down with the release of new pairs, so with more coming soon, is this pair an automatic cop for fans? Or will they wait for other colors and pass on these?
