Android 7.0 Nougat release date news 2016: Non-Nexus devices to get update later this year?
Ever since Google decided to roll out its new mobile operating system, Android 7.0 Nougat, tech fans are wondering when it will start to land on today's popular handheld devices. Previous reports suggested that Samsung, along with Sony and HTC have already announced several of their handsets to get the new OS. New reports have recently emerged mentioning the top devices in today's smartphone market to get the Android Nougat 7.0 anytime soon.
According to the report, Samsung Galaxy S7, S6 Edge, Note 7, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge Plus, S7 Edge, HTC One M9, One A9 and HTC 10 will al get the operating system update. Although no official statement have been issued by these companies, many people are positive that it is only a matter of time before they issue an official announcement.
There are also reports saying that T-Mobile smartphone users will soon get the Android 7.0 Nougat update earlier than expected. According to reports, the American mobile carrier has already listed several Samsung and HTC devices to get the new Android 7.0 Nougat update.
According to a report by The Verge, the new latest Android 7.0 Nougat update has already been rolled out to several handsets such as Nexus Player, Pixel C, Android One, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6 and Nexus 6P. It was quite obvious that Google was going to roll out the new software to its own devices. However, smartphone from other makers will soon get the Android 7.0 N update later this year, while some will get it in 2017.
Meanwhile, in a report by 9to5Google, the Taiwanese tech giant, HTC, is said to have already started to work on releasing the new firmware update to a few of its devices. According to the publication, HTC will first roll out the software to HTC 10 then the One M9 and One A9.
