Android Lollipop 5.0.1 Update on LG G2 Release Date Should Be Coming Soon
Android Lollipop 5.0.1 will probably be rolling out to LG G2 devices soon after a leaked screenshot of the mobile phone started spreading like wildfire on social media last week.
Although the current LG flagship phone, the LG G3, will certainly get the update soon, those who bought the LG G2 in 2013 may also be looking forward to an Android Lollipop update in the coming weeks. This news, however, has not been confirmed by either Google or LG.
Before we all get too excited, there is one issue to consider. The leaked screenshot came from an LG G2 model F320L, which is an LTE version from South Korea. Those from the U.S. may have to wait a bit to start getting the update. It's also possible that the update may never roll out for LG G2 owners in the U.S. at all.
It's difficult to tell when Google will be rolling out updates for the LG G2 devices because it is often done randomly.
Meanwhile, Google is rumored to be working on another major update for its Lollipop, the Android 5.1, which has been reported ready for release.
Meanwhile, the most recent Android Lollipop update has already been rolled out for Nexus 7 users. The newer version of Google's mobile operating system will deliver bug fixes to address current Android Lollipop issues.
