Android N release date updates 2016: New leaked information suggest August arrival of software

When Google decided to make the Android N or Android Nougat official, many fans started to wonder when it will come out in the market. For the longest time, the upcoming software has been a favorite subject of rumors and speculations all over the internet. According to the latest report, Google next operating system is said to come out anytime soon.

According to the popular tech tipster Evan Blass, the highly anticipated Android N update will happen in August.

"Android 7.0 releases next month, with the 8/5 security patch. Sorry Nexus 5 owners, no Nougat for you," Blass posted on his Twitter account.

The statement will certainly disappoint a lot of Nexus 5 owners who were hoping to be a part of the first set of devices to receive the Android N operating system.

There are also many fans who are waiting for the next Google Nexus smartphone to be released with a pre-installed Android N. As of the moment, Google has continued to stay mum about the development of their next flagship device. It has already been reported that the American search engine company has partnered with HTC to help them with the production of the new handset.

Meanwhile, HTC announced in May that some of their devices will be the first ones to get the Android N update. The devices are the new HTC 10, One M9 and One A9. The announcement was made right after Google made the operating official at the Google I/O event in May this year. However, HTC did not provide the specific roll out date of the Android N.

There are also speculations suggesting that the latest leak from Blass may signal the early arrival of the Google Nexus 2016. Rumor has it that HTC is currently developing two Nexus devices calls HTC Marlin and HTC Sailfish.

Nonetheless, these reports must be taken with a grain of salt until Google decides to confirm them.
