OnePlus graced the mobile world with another flagship phone that will surely impress the crowd. The OnePlus 3T is on the verge of release and it will come with powerful specs. However, it will be installed with the old Android Marshmallow.

Much to the surprise of tech enthusiasts, OnePlus 3T will be equipped with Android Marshmallow instead of the highly anticipated Android Nougat. OnePlus quickly repaired the disappointment by announcing that the upcoming handset will eventually be installed with the latest operating system (OS), but it will come next month.

In a report by Android Authority, the company itself confirmed the installed operating system. This should prompt the future owners that they would experience Nougat on their OnePlus 3T by December. The schedule of the software's release is still uncertain, but it is expected to be announced soon.

This is contrary to the news that OnePlus 3T is not included in the list of handsets that will receive a beta program for this month. The beta program is intended for the first OnePlus 3 flagship handset. And since the schedule for the current flagship model is already set, this would opt the OnePlus 2 users to wait further for their own Nougat, which may come early 2017.

The confirmation from the company has just debunked another rumor surrounding OnePlus 3T. It was previously reported that OnePlus planned to aggressively promote the variant and stop the sales of OnePlus 3 in the United States and Europe.

This sparked rumors that OnePlus 3T is already available and so the updates are solely for the step-up device. There is also news that the production of OnePlus 3 has been halted to give way to the promotion of the OnePlus 3T.

And before OnePlus 3T comes out for public consumption, OnePlus 4 is already expected. Another rumor emerged that the company is planning to deliver a six-month interval of flagship releases so that the next flagship handset may be launched mid-2017.
