Apple has been at the center of controversy when news came that the anticipated AirPods will be delayed. The AirPods wireless earphones have been reportedly delayed following several unexpected issues, causing everyone to be dismayed. However, there is news that the innovative earphones will come out on Dec. 19.

Several tech reports note that Apple has decided to start the sales of the AirPods on Dec. 19, debunking the rumors that it will come out in the coming months. The news came from an anonymous source who is apparently working on Apple's retail network.

According to MacRumors, the Cupertino-based tech company is planning to start the sales of the Apple AirPods starting on Monday, Dec. 19, which is two days before the online purchases are due to arrive in the hands of the customers.

Apple AirPods have been the subject of frustrations among the enthusiasts since its release date has been delayed. Then, the company put the earphones on sale through their online website on Tuesday and promised to have it delivered on Dec. 21.

However, fans were frustrated even more when the units were sold out quickly. The actual delivery time was estimated to be around six weeks. The depletion of the online stocks indicates that the demand for the AirPods has gone up.

Apple AirPods was announced alongside iPhone 7, even though the wireless earphones was supposed to debut in October. It was reported that the unforeseen production problems have prompted Apple the delay its release.

Another report claimed that Apple has been having a difficult time syncing the audio between the two earbuds, which may lead to the possibility that only one earbud may be used by the customer in the long run.

For those who want to get hold of the AirPods before it becomes available on shelves, Apple Insider is giving away a set for free.
