Apple iPad Mini 5 release date, specs news 2016: Lighter and thinner tablet to come out in September?
Apple is expected to launch multiple devices before the year ends. According to reports, the Cupertino-based company will release some of the highly anticipated devices in September including the iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and the iPad Mini 5.
There is really not much attention given to the popular Apple tablet. Industry observers believe that it will be surprising to so many people if the company decides to release the iPad Mini 5 because of the lack of attention it is getting.
According to a report by Neurogadget, consumers are more interested in the release of the next generation iPhone and the new Apple Watch model. Nonetheless, there are tablet fanatics who are hoping to see a new iPad Mini getting released this year.
The publication added that the device will certainly come out in 2016. It will run on an A9 processor, which many expect to give more power to the upcoming tablet. According to the report, the new iPad Mini 5 will arrive as an upgraded version of its predecessor, which was not really considered as a high-end handheld device by some experts.
There are also reports saying that the new iPad Mini will be thinner and lighter compared to the iPad Mini 4. According to Latin Times, it is also speculated to come with a smaller battery; hence, its thinner design. Some tech observers are concern that the smaller battery of the new iPad Mini 5 might sacrifice the efficiency of the device.
The publication added that Apple may also get rid of the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack and replace it with a new audio port similar to that of the upcoming iPhone 7.
Meanwhile, the new tablet will be sporting an 8 MP primary camera and a 1.2 MP selfie shooter.
As of the moment, Apple has yet to provide significant details with regard to the development and release date of the iPad Mini 5.
