Several rumors have emerged suggesting that Apple will expand its iPad tablet lineup in early 2017. According to reports the Cupertino-based company will release an all-new 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2.

In a report by MacRumors , popular Apple analyst from KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, the American tech giant may release three variants of Apple iPad Pro 2 early next year. The three variants will differ in sizes – 10.5-inch iPad Pro, the base model 9.7-inch iPad and the highly anticipated 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2.

According to Kuo, the three new Apple tablets are expected to be launched in 2017.

"We expect three new iPads (12.9" iPad Pro 2, new size 10.5" iPad Pro & low-cost 9.7" iPad) to be launched in 2017, though this may not drive shipment growth amid structural headwinds; 2017F shipments to fall 10-20% YoY," the KGI securities' analyst explained. "If the iPad comes in a larger size, such as a 10.5" model, we believe it will be helpful to bid for tenders within the commercial and education markets. As a result, we expect Apple to launch a 10.5" iPad Pro in 2017"

Kuo added that Apple may not go with the A10X processor for the upcoming 12.9 iPad Pro 2 and 10.5 iPad Pro. On the other hand, the cheaper 9.7 iPad may likely come with the A9X processor. Apple has yet to confirm these reports. Tech fans are advised to take all rumors and speculations with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, in a report by Yibada, Apple may also release an iPad Pro Mini next year under the iPad Pro 2 lineup. According to the publication, the iPad Pro Mini will carry a 7.9-inch display paired with some basic specs and features, just like the upcoming 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2.
