Apple is currently gearing up for the release of the next generation iPhone this year. The upcoming flagship smartphone is said to carry specs quite similar to the current iPhone 6s. The iPhone 7 is definitely not getting much attention as fans and critics have their focus on the development and release of the highly anticipated iPhone 8. The eighth generation of the popular Apple smartphone is said to be released next year. There are speculations suggesting that the new device will feature impressive specifications and revolutionary features.

The Cupertino-based company has remained silent with regard to the development and release date of iPhone 8, but fans and critics have already started to share their predictions about it. According to a report by PC Advisor, Apple is said to be making major changes to make sure the handset will arrive in the market as the best smartphone to mark the 10th anniversary of the series. The publication added that Apple has yet to have a name for the 2017 iPhone; however many people currently dubbed it as iPhone 8.

Meanwhile, there are rumors saying that Apple will develop the new iPhone using an OLED screen technology. There are also speculations suggesting that the new iPhone will have an all glass body design, in which the new display technology will stretch to the edges of the smartphone.

Other features that are expected to be included on the upcoming device are the TouchID fingerprint scanner, which will be placed on the new OLED display. If rumors prove to be true, the new design of the iPhone 8 will not include the home button, which has always been a part of that popular front design of the Apple device. The device is also said to be slimmer and lighter; however, it will carry a much improved battery feature.

As of now, Apple has yet to confirm the development of the iPhone 8.
