Apple iWatch Price, Specs, Release Date: Apple to Release Early 2015
It looks like Apple fans won't be seeing the iWatch until early 2015. Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been released September 19 and the iWatch announced, but people will certainly not be seeing this gadget arrive in stores until next year.
This customizable smartwatch allows users to work with their iPhone without using the phone itself, and just accessing it from their wrist. Siri is also supported by this watch, which means smart messages and dictation can be done.
The flexible retina display of the iWatch is able to recognize different types of gestures, such as the difference between a press and a tap. The watch also functions as a heart rate monitor and accelerometer, which allows users to measure body movements as well as distance and speed. It is water resistant and has its own speakers.
Apple provides six different straps for the watch to make it match every day wear, including formal and sports wear. These straps were all manufactured to be sweat resistant. The straps are namely the Leather Loop, the Link Bracelet, the Classic Buckle, the Modern Buckle and the Milanese Loop.
The Apple watch will allow users to save music on the watch, or control music on their iPhone or PC. Photos saved on the iPhone or PC are also accessible through the iWatch.
Charging it is easy as well--a user simply holds the back of the watch near the charging connector and it magnets into place.
As for the price, its competitors are the Samsung Gear Live at $200, LG G Watch at $230 and the Moto 360 at $249. The Apple Watch meanwhile will have a base price of $349.
