Asus Zenfone 3 release date news: ZenFone 3 Laser launching in other markets?
In July, the Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company, Asus, hinted that it is going to release two more Zenfone device. According to reports the new additions will be called ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Max.
What's interesting is that the new smartphones have already been shipped to some Asian markets. However, no reports as of the moment if these handsets will ever see the U.S. market anytime soon. The two Zenfone smartphones are currently being sold at a ridiculously affordable price of under $300. According to reports, Asus will soon release the ZenFone 3 Laser in other countries in the near future.
Although the device doesn't have the advanced specs currently found on top-tier devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the upcoming Galaxy Note 7, the smartphone rates fairly well against the others in its class.
According to the global YouTube channel of Asus, the ZenFone 3 Laser sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus. The company claims that the device has a focus speed of 0.03 seconds, which is pretty amazing considering its budget price.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system; however, it has the Zen user interface. No report as of the moment if the device will be included in the first batch of smartphones to bet the Android Nougat update later this year.
The ZenFone 3 Laser also has the capability to steadily record full HD video. The specs under the hood will be headed by an octa-core processor with a speed of 1.4 GHz.
On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 3 will carry a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2 GHz from Qualcomm paired with 3 GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, the new handset comes in two color variations – silver gray and gold. The company is said to have already sent invites for an Asus Zenfone event in India on Aug. 17. The said occasion will apparently launch the new Zenfone 3 in the country.
