'Attack on Titan' 3DS game spoilers, updates: Players can choose between Mikasa and Levi
The "Attack on Titan" franchise continues to expand its network as it will launch another game intended for the Nintendo 3DS. The upcoming game titled "Attack on Titan: Escape from the Brink of Death" will feature two Survey Corps characters from the series as well as other supporting characters.
Together with the creator of the TV series, Ruby Party will be developing the upcoming title. In the game, players will be placed in a castle. Initially, they will have to navigate their way through the castle without any weapons.
Players will be able to choose between a male and a female character. More importantly, gamers will have to choose between two original characters from the TV series, Survey Corps members Mikasa and Levi. When the players have made their selection, the other character will serve as the lead character's partner.
According to reports, the pair will be joined by familiar characters from the series along the way. The group will then attempt to find the necessary provisions to escape the castle. Furthermore, the storyline happens before the characters encountered the female Titan.
If the rumors about the game's progress are true, the developers most likely will not launch the game within the year or within next year. Reports say that the progress is currently at 30 percent. The video game developers have yet to make an announcement regarding the release date for the upcoming title.
The first game titled "Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains" was launched in Japan in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS. Furthermore, the PlayStation 4 game called "Attack on Titan: Live Action" was launched earlier this year. Aside from the video games, the manga, and the series, the franchise launched live action films in 2015.
