Avid fans will do almost anything to be with their favorite actors or watch their favorite movies ahead of everyone else. Most of them are willing to enter contests or pay money for an extraordinary meeting with the stars. Actor Robert Downey Jr. knows this.

Just like his billionaire tech genius character Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, Downey knows the strengths and weaknesses of his fans and he wants to use this for a very good cause in time for the premiere of his upcoming movie, the potential blockbuster "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

In a 1:52 clip, Downey invited his fans to join a contest, which will give them a chance to fly to Los Angeles and attend a red carpet event for the premiere of the Avengers sequel in the company of no other than Iron Man himself in Tony Stark-level style.

The contest – which will be run through Omaze, the group behind the "Star Wars: Force For Change Initiative" – will have participants donate $10 through Omaze.com/RDJ. The proceeds will go to Julia's House, a children's hospice in England.

Aside from a trip to Hollywood, the winners of the contest will get to have breakfast at Randy's Donuts, experience indoor skydiving, enjoy a helicopter ride around the city, and get into tux or gown to see "Avengers: Age of Ultron" premiere.

In the short video released on Monday, the Iron Man actor also promised to "awesome the crap out" of the winner, whom he will meet up for a "pre-premiere caviar" and perhaps "engage in a battle of wits."

$10 will get a fan about 100 entries along with rewards like concept art, T-shirts, signed Iron Man helmets, and Captain America: Civil War set visits.

Other prizes are also available for different levels of donations. Donate $50,000 and you gain entry to the set of Captain America: Civil War, for instance.

Downey starred in the short clip almost a week before the actor is expected to make an important announcement about "Avengers: Age of Ultron" on March 6, which he hinted on Wednesday last week.

The veteran actor has already signed on for "Captain America: Civil War."

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will be released worldwide on May 1, 2015.
