Rihanna makes her debut as Marion Crane in the latest trailer for "Bates Motel" season 5.

Actress/singer Rihanna is the latest addition to the A&E drama's final season, and she plays the role famously played by Janet Leigh in the 1960s cult-classic "Psycho." While Marion was killed in the first act of Alfred Hitchcock's film, the character's small screen version will be serving a different purpose. It's safe to assume that she still has a tragic fate, but she now comes into Norman's (Freddie Highmore) during the most vulnerable stage of his life.

Marion has a multi-episode arc, and the new 60-second trailer from the network gives fans a first look at her character. During a rainy night, she checks in to the Bates Motel and meets Norman. The final moments of the clip show Norman peering through a peephole as the shower can be heard running in the background.

"Norman is in an incredibly intense and interesting place that we've built him to when that sequence of episodes starts," series creator Kerry Ehrin teased about the upcoming installment. "He's in a very fragile and lonely place, and Marion Crane is a charismatic woman, she's super present when she's with him and she's very attractive — all those things are exactly what he needs right at this moment," Ehrin added.

Season 5 picks up roughly 18 months after Norma's (Vera Farmiga) death. Though Norma is already deceased, visions of her continue to haunt Norman while her actual corpse sits in the cellar. In a recent Twitter post, Farmiga confirmed that filming for the show wrapped up on Monday. The actress posted an image of herself kissing her on-screen son, Highmore, whose face looks like he's been beaten up. "Whoop whoop, happy LAST day of [Bates Motel] #FreddieHighmore. #itsawrap #fiveyears," she wrote in the caption.

The fifth and final season of "Bates Motel" premieres on Monday, Feb. 20, at 10 p.m. ET on A&E.
