Paramount Pictures recently released new international trailers for the upcoming action comedy movie adaptation of the 90s hit TV series "Baywatch."

The two international trailers released are fairly similar with each other as well as with the previous trailers released in the past. However, there are noticeable differences and varying chunks of footage potential viewers of the upcoming film might be interested in watching, particularly the introduction of the villainous character of Priyanka Chopra as Victoria Leeds.

As reported by Coming Soon, "Baywatch" is a big-screen adaptation of a television series of the same name which originally aired on NBC back in 1989. The original cast included actors such as David Hasselhoff, Shawn Weatherly, Parker Stevenson, Erika Eleniak, Billy Warlock, Brandon Call, Peter Phelps, and Holly Gagnier.

Initially, the series was not a success and had to be canceled after just one season. In 1991, the show was brought back to the airwaves and continued on for a decade, even adding new cast members such as Yasmine Bleeth and Pamela Anderson. The show even had a short-lived spinoff titled "Baywatch Hawaii."

Many writers have previously been attached to the development of a "Baywatch" movie. Its most recent draft was developed by the "Friday the 13th" writing duo Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.

The film is directed by Seth Gordon who previously helmed movies such as "Horrible Bosses" and "Identity Thief." Its producers include lead actor Dwayne Johnson as well as Greg Bonann, Michael Berk, Dany Garcia, Beau Flynn, Douglas Schwartz, and Ivan Reitman.

Aside from Johnson, "Baywatch" stars Alexandra Daddario ("San Andreas"), Zac Efron ("Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates"), Kelly Rohrbach ("Broad City"), Jon Bass ("Loving"), Ilfenesh Hadera ("Oldboy"), Priyanka Chopra ("Quantico"), and Hannibal Buress ("Broad City").

Paramount Pictures is expected to release "Baywatch" in U.S. theaters on May 26, 2017, which is set to go up against Disney's upcoming film "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."
