"Breaking Bad" villain Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) is coming in "Better Call Saul" season 3 as he was teased last season, but it is a matter of when and how it will happen.

In the bonus features of the recently released "Better Call Saul" season 2 Blu-Ray (via IGN), executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould talked a bit about the kingpin's arrival.

"I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, but speaking for myself, the fans earned this one. I'm not going to say what happens but the people figured this out on their own. I don't want to be too evasive either," Gilligan said pertaining to their code where they spelled "Frings back" using the first letter of the titles of the episodes.

Gould said that "Breaking Bad" appearances in "Better Call Saul" season 3 will be based on the logic of the show' and its direction, saying that they will simply follow "the web of relationships that we already established on Breaking Bad."

"As first fans of the show, we're feeling very rewarded. And people who watched Breaking Bad will have even more reasons to watch Better Call Saul this season," he said.

Gilligan chimed in saying, "The people who love Breaking Bad will have several more reasons to love Better Call Saul this season."

With that said, it appears that the return of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) this season will also mark the comeback of characters fans met in the hit parent series of "Better Call Saul."

This makes sense as Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman will take place soon and will put the character closer to his cunning fate in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

Meanwhile, Gould and Gilligan also teased that the new season will see tension rise between Chuck (Michael McKean) and Jimmy after the former tricked his brother last season.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 will premiere early next year on AMC. Production is now underway.
