Last week, a promo teasing a connection between "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" was released, and as expected, fans were hyped up for the upcoming season.

Well, some of them aren't, especially the ones who are still mad at series star Bob Odenkirk for joining a group of celebrities who urged the Electoral College to vote against Donald Trump. Anyway, the teaser hints that fans may see more "Breaking Bad" characters in season 3.

Reports say Walter White (Bryan Cranston) may appear in the upcoming season. Cranston was a guest on The Rich Eisen Show earlier this year and he said (via Entertainment Weekly) he was willing to play the former chemistry teacher in "Better Call Saul" if he was given the chance to do so. However, he also revealed that he wasn't approached to reprise the role.

Cranston did say that he was offered a chance to direct an episode, but he was undecided at the time. Right now, nothing has been confirmed, so fans of both series should keep their fingers crossed and hope that they have worked something out.

Meanwhile, a number of sources believe that the stage has been set for Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) to appear in "Better Call Saul." Earlier this year, co-creator Vince Gilligan admitted that they have left a clue on the episode titles; however, he said this does not mean that Fring would appear at the start of the season. "This is a character who is very circumspect. Very cautious. He does not reveal himself easily," he told Vanity Fair.

Some fans also believe that now is the right time to introduce Hank Schrader (Dean Norris) to the show. Screener Aaron Pruner noted that since they are bringing Fring to "Better Call Saul," Hank shouldn't be far behind.

Season 3 of "Better Call Saul" is slated to air sometime in 2017.
