BlackBerry DTEK50 release date news update: Most secured smartphone to come out in August
BlackBerry has recently announced its new mid-range smartphone called DTEK50. According to reports, the upcoming handset will focus on its excellent security and privacy features.
The device is developed to cater consumers who are looking for a more secure phone with decent power at a very reasonable price. Although some tech observers believe that the smartphone has a copy-cat design with limited appeal, the DTEK50 certainly has enough specs under the hood to challenge the leading brands in the mid-range smartphone market today.
"When it comes to security, BlackBerry is leading all other Android smartphones," BlackBerry claims on YouTube. "BlackBerry lives and breathes security and has taken extra steps to help protect you from malware and hacks."
The new BlackBerry device is said to be the most secure Android smartphone in the world today. This new device is definitely made for the people who have security issues on their previous devices.
According to a report by Tech Radar, the device mainly targets the enterprise market; however, it could also be pretty decent for regular usage. The BlackBerry DTEK50 will be available for $299, which is quite cheap considering that it is expected to come with impressive specs under the hood.
Meanwhile, the company has already considered itself as an American brand, which could mean that it has already left its Canadian roots.
According to a report by CBC, Canadian technology analyst Daniel Bader said that BlackBerry has already become a U.S. company, which explains why it has focused more on the American market.
Bader also said that the BlackBerry DTEK50 is not manufactured to impress tech freaks who are looking for advanced camera features and faster processor.
"It's not meant to wow you," the analyst said. "It's meant to wow IT managers who are looking for a cheap, secure Android phone."
The new BlackBerry smartphone will be available on Aug. 8. Stay tuned for more news and updates about its release.
