BlackBerry DTEK50 specs news: Most secure Android smartphone expected to be a hit
BlackBerry was once regarded as one of the best handset makers in the whole world. With new manufacturers bringing in several amazing technologies, the Canadian company appeared to have been left behind in the race. However, that doesn't mean that they will stop producing quality smartphones at ridiculously lower prices compared to the others in the market. With its latest entry in the competition, BlackBerry is expected to garner a lot of attention with its DTEK50.
According to reports, the device will be sold at $299 once it hits the shelves on August 8. The company claims that the smartphone is the most secured Android device in the whole world. The Blackberry DTEK50 will reportedly target the enterprise market; however, the smartphone has some amazing features that are useful to ordinary consumers.
The impressive handheld device will run on Android Marshmallow, which will come with Google's popular apps. It is also compatible with most apps in the Google Play Store. The Blackberry DTEK50 will also allow users to use their own software such as the BlackBerry Hub.
The device is said to have apps and features that protect the user's private information from mobile hackers. The new Blackberry DTEK50 will no longer have the physical keyboard the company is known for. However, fans should not worry as Blackberry is also planning to release another smartphone with its classic keyboard in the near future.
Meanwhile, the device will also be carrying some of the competitive smartphone specifications today. The Blackberry DTEK50 will arrive with 5.2-inch screen with full HD display technology. The handset will be lighter compared to the previous Blackberry releases. It will run on a 3 GB RAM paired with an octa-core 617 processor from Qualcomm. The device has an internal storage capacity of 16 GB, which is expandable of up to 2 TB via microSD card.
Other features include a 2610-mAh battery, 13 MP primary camera, an 8 MP front-facing shooter and 4G network support.
