'Bloodborne' PS4 Review: Software Game Misses Top Spot But Gets 'Amazing' Rating
"Bloodborne" was released last week to PlayStation 4 and the reviews and sales figures are in.
The gory game from Software game just missed the number one spot, but only by a small margin. "Battlefield Hardline" is still the top game in the charts, but "Bloodborne" was behind by just 22,500 units. With "Bloodborne" in PS4 exclusive and "Hardline" released in both new gen and previous gen consoles, the results are quite good for "Bloodborne."
In terms of reviews, "Bloodborne" garnered a rating of 9.1 percent which reviewers described as "amazing." The game brings an exciting, "exhausting, exhilarating journey into the depths of madness," they said.
Based on reviews, the game provokes thoughts of every player while providing an optimal gaming experience. The RPG sets every player a challenge in terms of perseverance, patience, growth as well as their respective skills, which they utilize throughout the fighting game. Players need to survive the challenges to each particular journey.
The developer will reveal very little on how to survive. The game challenges every player to handle the surrounding battles with ease while being creative and determined to survive the world.
There has been, however, a progression bug reported, that prevented some players from obtaining a significant item required to progress. The item referred to is the Lunarium Key, found in Byrgenwerth College. The criteria to trigger the bug is the ringing of the Small Resonant Bell in the Forbidden Woods area, items that initiate co-op and RvP play, respectively. This series of actions prevents the Lunarium Key from appearing, which is used to unlock a required area in the game. The team is currently finalizing a 1.02 hotfix and aims to release it next week, though an exact date has not been provided.
Sony advises players NOT to attempt the co-op of PvP in the Forbidden Woods until the hotfix goes through.
Loading times and performance issues are also being addressed earlier in the week. These are being treated as separate issues and will be refined in a future patch.
