"Bloodline" season 2 took off from where exactly it left off, which was the introduction of Nolan's (Owen Teague) character who claims to be Danny's (Ben Mendelsohn) son. Apart from Nolan, there is also the addition of two other characters from Danny's past namely Eve (Andrea Riseborough) and Ozzy (John Leguizamo). The Rayburns' (Jacinda Barrett) secrets and lies, past actions, and transgressions will continue to catch up and take their toll on the family members.

As promised in the plot synopsis released earlier this year, the second season of "Bloodline" will essentially be a reflective journey of guilt amid desperation to escape it. Fans will discover and learn more of John's character and witness his relationship with his siblings wane. Meg (Linda Cardellini) will return to Islamorada from New York which will imply the fruitlessness of an attempt to run away from being a Rayburn. Meanwhile, Kevin will get a bigger share of his narration of his story. The newly introduced characters Eve and Ozzy will not have enough time to be developed or substantiate the significance of their part in the storyline.

Season 2 will bear clues that will lead to bigger scheming in the future which will involve families who are more influential, wealthier, and more privileged than the clan of Rayburn. The family drama and succession of paranoia-inducing actions and events will then see expansion through involvement of new circumstances and characters. It will end with a cliffhanger wherein another decision will be made based on poor judgment and this will in turn usher viewers to the following season. From its commencement to its conclusion, the latest "Bloodline" episodes of its sophomore season loom to be dark and fast-paced. They will be more tormenting and punishing toward the members of the Rayburn family. New lies and deception games will surface to try and lock the family's skeleton in the closet.

The 10-episode "Bloodline" season 2 premiered on May 27 on Netflix.
