'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Chapter 4 Spoilers: Naruto disciplines Boruto for cheating in Chunin exams
As the next generation of Konoha's young Shinobi undergoes training, the next sequence of events is heating up following the discovery of Boruto's use of Kote to cheat his way through the tough Chunin exam.
Boruto's Team Konohamaru overcomes challenge in the first round as they advance their way to the second phase of the exams. The first phase puts the aspiring Ninjas in a test on their willpower. The second phase, on the other hand, involves capturing their opponents' flag without compromising the security of their own base.
An overconfident Boruto feels that he could employ Sasuke's Shadow Clone Technique to cruise through the round without problems. However, he soon finds out that his four-clone limit is nothing compared to his opponent's nine shadow clones. With a sense of powerlessness overwhelming him, Boruto does the unthinkable— he gives in to cheating temptation by using Kote which is concealed up in his sleeves. With the augmenting device, he manages to destroy every clone his opponent has with a variety of jutsu techniques such as the King Lapis Flower, Lightning Style Bullet, Water Style Bullet and violent Breath as per BitBag report.
For those unfamiliar with Kote, it is a recent innovation created by Konoha scientists that enables ninjas to make the full use of any ninjutsu with ease, iDigital Times reported. With the device, anyone can perform shinobi techniques without exhausting one's chakra. Despite being a valuable military technological asset, Naruto, in his capacity as Konoha's seventh Hokage, restricts the use of Kote as it destroys the very essence of the Shinobi arts.
The discovery of Boruto's unauthorized use of Kote eventually leads Naruto to discipline his very own son for breaking a law that he himself enacted. To preserve the meritocratic and moral integrity of the Chunin exam, the Hokage publicly condemns his son's erratic behavior and announces Boruto's disqualification, Asia Starz reported. To add salt to his son's wounds, Boruto will be ostracized by his teammates after they were banned in the last phase of the exams.
As the drama over the Chunin exam unfolds, an imminent danger is looming. Sasuke will reportedly halt the exam as sensing danger over the horizon. Two strangers reportedly drop by Konoha to come for Naruto's Fox.
