Boruto had harbored resentment for his father for as long as he could remember. But the fifth chapter of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" showed the seventh Hokage in a new light that astounded the younger Uzumaki at every turn.

In the chapter titled, "Momoshiki and Kinshiki," Naruto had his son disqualified after finding out that Boruto had been advancing through the Chuunin exams with help from the Kote, the technological device that allowed the use of pre-stored ninjutsu without utilizing chakra. It was an effortless way of wielding power that was unearned, and Naruto did not approve of it.

Longtime fans of the "Naruto" franchise had seen Naruto as a passionate youth who worked hard towards his goal of becoming Hokage. But when he finally assumed office as the seventh head of Konoha, it left him with little to no chance of harnessing the immense power he had acquired and developed through the years.

He also had little to no time at all to spend with his family, which was the root of Boruto's rebellious wrath. And having not seen his father engage in a fight, the younger Uzumaki had developed little respect for Naruto's abilities.

But when the arena was suddenly attacked by the combined forces of Momoshiki and Kinshiki, the arrival of whom was apparently foretold in the scrolls Sasuke brought back from the ruins of Kaguya's palace, Boruto's view of his father gradually changed.

The younger Uzumaki also saw the error of his ways when Momoshiki used every jutsu he had absorbed against the people of the arena, mimicking the way that the Kote he had been wearing worked. It struck him deeply when his father chastised Momoshiki for taking "Red Earth" in order to wield an immense amount of power without effort at all, likening the cowardly practice to taking drugs.

And while every other adult in the arena busied himself in evacuating everybody else, Naruto and Sasuke faced off against the Otsusuki duo. Boruto was there to witness it all, but will his realizations be enough to let him harness the power he would need to help his father? After all, the Otsusuki were there to take the seventh Hokage away and extract the Kurama chakra from him.

The next chapter of the newest "Naruto" saga will see Naruto face off against the Otsusuki duo. Will Kurama and the chakra that Sasuke loaned him be enough to help him win the fight?

Find out when "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" chapter 6 release next month on "Weekly Shounen Jump."
