Bruce Willis New Movies 2015: New Action Thriller 'Wake' Back on Track
"Wake," an action thriller starring Bruce Willis, is set to resume production after it ran out of funds last month. The film will go back to shooting scenes on March 23 this year after it has resolved its financial issues, according to Den of Geek!
In the film, Willis plays the role of a sociopath who returns to his childhood home on a remote island for his brother's wake. When the island becomes under siege, he must save his family who banished him from his home years ago.
Less than two after the cameras started rolling in Cleveland, the movie hit a major financial bump on the road and had to pause.
"Wake" also stars Ben Kingsley, Piper Perabo, and Ellen Burstyn. The film is directed by John Pogue from a script written by Chris Borrelli. Michael Benaroya of Benaroya Pictures, Tobin Armbrust, David Alpert and Chris Cowles are the movie's producers.
The project was introduced by the International Film Trust to international buyers last month at the Berlin Film Festival.
