'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' DLC Release Date, Game News: Ascendance DLC Pack Coming March 31

Activision has announced that the "Ascendance" DLC pack "of its "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" game will be released on March 31.

The announcement of the DLC was made on the blog for the game. Activision, the creator of the game, said "Ascendance" will initially be released on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. Approximately a month later it would make its way to the PS4 and PS3 consoles and then to the PC.

The downloadable content pack will come together with the second installment for Exo Zombies, four new multiplayer maps, a new OHM weapon added as a bonus along with a variant, and an Exo Grapple ability that will give players added mobility.

In the Exo Zombies chapter called "Infection," many of the cast including John Malkovich, Jon Bernthal, Rose McGowan and Bill Paxton will return to fight zombies. This chapter will also feature Burgertown and also pit the players against new traps. Additionally, new enemies will appear namely Acid Dripper and Goliath. Players are tasked to help survivors escape the zombies attacks in the Civilian Extraction Mode.

Among the new multiplayer maps in "Ascendance" will be Site 244, Perplex, Chop Shop and Climate. Perplex, will be based in an apartment complex while Site 244 will feature an alien spacecraft that supposedly crashed and lies below Mount Rushmore. Climate will be based in a sealed enclosure complete with land and water and environmental hazards. Chop Shop will be based on a black market functioning in an industrial complex. As for the new OHM weapon, it is a directed energy light machine gun/shotgun hybrid.

Meanwhile, the co-founder of Sledgehammer Games Michael Condrey posted on Twitter that the top five weapons in "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" have been shortlisted based on their kill ratio. In the rankings, the ARX-160 and its "Hole Puncher" variant takes the number one spot. It is followed by the Ameli, the HBRa3 with its "Insanity" variant, Bal-27 and its O.Steed variant and finally the Pytaek with its variant "Loophole."
