'Captain America 3' Release Date, Cast News: Marvel Looking for Southeast Asian Crew
Production work for "Captain America: Civil War" has reportedly started in time for its May 2016 release date.
But according to Disney Casting Calls, the producers of Marvel are still looking for men and women, aged between 21 to 75 and of Southeast Asian descent – Malaysians, Indonesians, Singaporeans, Cambodians, Thais or Filipinos – to play still undisclosed roles in "Captain America 3." Experienced film crew and production staff members are also invited to send in their details for casting spots.
However, all actors, cast and crew members must be legally eligible to work in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. This means the applicants' working permits must first be in order before they can apply. This could mean that only Southeast Asians already with a green card or a legal working permit will be able to take a shot at this opportunity.
Filming will take place from April 4 to Aug. 8, 2015. Those interested to apply and who are eligible may send their resume to sputnikextras@gmail.com with the email title "SOUTHEAST ASIAN."
Items that need to be attached in the email, according to Disney Casting Calls, are: one recent, clear face photo; one recent, clear full-length photo; and photos of the applicant in ethnic wardrobe.
Applicants need to state their first and last name; email address; phone number; age; height and weight; clothing sizes -- men: jacket, collar, sleeve, waist, inseam, shoes / women: dress size, bust (bra/cup) waist, pants, shoes; city and state of residence.
"Captain America: Civil War" will take off from where "Age of Ultron" will end. As the title suggests, the film will cover the "Civil War" story arc in the comic books. Captain America (Steve Rogers, played by Cris Evans) and Iron Man (Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey, Jr.) will go head to head, with the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe forced to pick a side.
