Chicago Bulls trade rumors: Taj Gibson being eyed by at least three teams
The Chicago Bulls are still on the fence about moving on with Taj Gibson in the line-up, and there are talks that three teams are hoping to acquire the services of the energy forward.
According to a recent report, at least three teams are looking to sign Gibson, and they are the Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, and the Philadelphia 76ers. Speculations suggest that it is likely for Gibson to join one of those teams at the start of the new season.
One of the reports claims this is because the Bulls are more than willing to give Bobby Portis a shot at taking Gibson's spot on the roster.
The sophomore, Portis, has a lot of potential and is a big man who can shoot from beyond the arc. Naturally the more athletic between him and Gibson due to his age, it is understood that keeping Gibson on the roster may impede on Portis' development down the road.
Additionally, given that Gibson is an impact player, not getting him to play is not an option, and moving to one of the three aforementioned teams is best for Gibson.
He brings a lot of energy to the court, and he revitalizes the team's morale when he is injected in the game.
Gibson has never been the superstar in the lineup but remains as an important asset which can be maximized by any other team who can pick him up.
This goes well for the Sixers who are looking for a veteran presence. For the Raptors, losing some forwards can be solved with the arrival of Gibson.
Finally, for the Celtics, as they try to improve from last year and remain relevant in the East, adding Gibson will only help their cause as they battle the other top teams in their sector.
Fans should expect more on Gibson in the coming days as the teams try to sign him on.
