'Chicago Fire' season 5 episode 3 spoilers: Show goes on after losing team member

The clip teases that a mistake committed by Dawson "can cause a mother her son." This is why the worried mom stopped them, accusing them that they do not know what they are doing.

Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) will also have a challenging day of work in "Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 3 trying to save an ill street kid trapped in a tunnel fire.
As per the synopsis for the "Chicago Fire" season 5 episode, she will use all the resources she has to get the young one to safety.
As she goes on with the tough case, Severide (Taylor Kinney) will enjoy himself in "Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 3 as he mulls over traveling in luxury and style with "rich party guy" Travis Brenner (guest star Scott Elrod).
Last but not the last, the episode will also explore Otis (Yuri Sardarov) and Herrmann (David Eigenberg) talk about why Molly's business has seen better days.
"Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 3 will be the first episode with Jimmy, who was badly injured while helping victims in a car accident. His injury is serious enough for him not to be able to work.
Explaining McQueen's exit to The Hollywood Reporter, "Chicago Fire" co-creator Michael Brandt said that what happened to Jimmy is just a reflection of reality.
"You can't have everybody always get away cleanly and safely and always have happy endings. That's something that we're always juggling and trying to balance and trying to deliver on for the audience," Brandt said.
"He goes out fighting for what he believes in, and there's nothing wrong with that. At the end of the episode, there's a scene between him and Boden where you realize everything is OK between them. Boden respects why Jimmy did what he did. But that said, there are no plans right now to bring Jimmy back to the show," he continued.
