Someone from Antonio's (Jon Seda) past is visiting the Windy City when NBC's hit firefighter drama "Chicago Fire" returns for its fifth season next year.

According to reports, actress America Olivo is set to reprise her role as Antonio's ex-wife Laura in an upcoming episode of the show. Olivo will make her appearance in episode 12 of the current fifth season, which is tentatively scheduled to air on Jan. 24. Although this serves as her first stint in "Chicago Fire," Olivo is no stranger to the "Chicago" franchise. She has appeared as Laura in "Chicago P.D." for six episodes. Details on the reason for her season 5 return are still being kept under wraps.

Aside from the much-awaited Dawsey wedding, one of the highlights from the previous episode saw one firefighter go out of his way to help someone in need. Severide (Taylor Kinney) decided to volunteer to donate bone marrow for a female patient named Anna, but it seems that their connection will extend beyond that. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, co-creator Derek Haas hinted a possible romantic storyline for Severide and Anna.

"We push that into a second half of the season storyline where he's going to donate to a woman in need and it's a connection that's not going to be an anonymous one and not going to be a drop 'em off at the hospital and hope they're okay and never hear from them again," he said.

In another interview, Haas further explained that they wanted to introduce Anna as a love interest for Severide because the creators have always looked for someone who can capture the firefighter's heart. He also confirmed that there will be more Severide–Anna scenes in the second half of the season as the two characters become closer to each other.

The fifth season of "Chicago Fire" returns to the small screen on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
