'Clash Royale' news: Four new cards to be added; Team Battle feature to be introduced in next big update?
The March 2017 update for "Clash Royale" may finally introduce the highly anticipated Team Battle feature.
According to reports, Supercell forum moderators began dropping clues on the next big update earlier this week. While there seems to be a lot of hints pointing to Team Battle as the upcoming feature, when it will arrive and how it will work remain unclear. There are speculations that the clues have been recently popping up because sneak peaks will be released soon. However, it is also believed that the studio just wants to offer something for fans while the update is still being developed.
Supercell has yet to reveal details about the upcoming update. However, if it includes Team Battle, the new feature is expected to function the same mechanics of the game — except with teams of two fighting against each other.
In addition, Supercell will also be introducing four new cards that will be added to the game's roster. First in the list is the Goblin Gun, a Rare Card that can be purchased with four Elixirs. Using it will make the gun shoot out Goblins for 40 seconds. Also included in the update is the Elite Barbarian Hut, another Rare Card that costs nine Elixirs. Playing this card will unleash two Elite barbarians in every fight.
Next in the lineup is the Queen Archer, an Epic Card that allows players to fire every second. Lastly, the update will include another Epic Card called the Dragon Card. It serves an upgrade to the Baby Dragon card because of its additional damage to buildings.
Since its March 2016 release, "Clash Royale" has been one of the most popular mobile games in the market. The strategy game has already made millions of dollars from in-app purchases, and it has been downloaded millions of times by users all over the world. Following its debut, developer Supercell has been releasing new updates every month to improve the game.
"Clash Royale" is currently available for Android and iOS devices.
