Criminal Minds Season 10 Release Date, Cast Spoilers: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kerr Smith to Join the Show
It is official. Criminal Minds Season 10 will be coming back on screen this October 1 on CBS.
The rumors about Jennifer Love Hewitt being a regular part of the show has also been confirmed. She will reportedly be playing the role of Kate Callahan, a psychologist with a "dark twist," according to Eric Messer, Executive Producer for Criminal Minds.
"We're thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Jennifer Love Hewitt to our amazing cast. Many of us on the show have enjoyed working with her over the years and look forward to it again. We have exciting storylines planned for her character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 10th season", Messer said in an interview.
Criminal Minds revolves around an FBI team of profilers who analyze the minds of terrorists before they actually carry out their plans.
The most experienced agent is David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) and the team is lead by an agent named Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) who is able to 'unlock secrets' and easily gain people's trust. Other members of the team include Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), Jennifer "J.J." Jareau (A.J. Cook) and Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness).
Kerr Smith, a former star in Dawson's Creek, will be appearing as well and will be playing the role of a killer.
