A new leak suggests that the upcoming role-playing video game "Cyberpunk 2077" will feature what is being referred to as "seamless multiplayer."

The piece of information was found in the grant applications that CD Projekt Red filed for the Polish GameINN Programme that will fund various new technologies that will help make "Cyberpunk 2077" much better visually.

There was a mention of "city creation," which will pave the way for the developer to build what was described (based on the translation provided by GamePressure) a "huge living city" that is playable in real time.

As per the definition, this tech is "based on rules, AI, and automation, and supports innovative processes and tools for making top-notch open-world games."

With regards to the seamless multiplayer expected to come in "Cyberpunk 2077," it was described as a "complex technology for making unique multiplayer gameplay mechanics, including the ability to search for opponents, manage game session, replicate objects, and support different game modes along with a unique set of dedicated tools."

This technology is said to be the same one that Ubisoft will implement in "Watch Dogs 2." In the hacking game sequel, players can join a session of another anytime.

According to Digital Trends, it is possible that CD Projekt Red is also looking to build a picture perfect enormous world that players can explore from inside and out, which should excite fans of the developer. Their work on "The Witcher" franchise will speak for itself on this one.

CD Projekt Red public relations and communications specialist Robert Malinowski confirmed the application, but refused to elaborate on the matter. However, media outlets would like to think that "Cyberpunk 2077" will be massive in gameplay and scope.

The grant applications also made mention of "cinematic feel" and "animation excellence," which suggests that CD Projekt Red is serious with upgrading the graphics department.

"Cyberpunk 2077" has no release date yet.
