Dallas Cowboys vs Detroit Lions live stream (ESPN): Watch NFL Monday Night Football 2016 online
The Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions will clash on NFL Monday Night Football tonight as the regular season moves towards its ultimate conclusion on New Year's next week. The game has a scheduled start time of 8.30 p.m. ET and takes place from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The game can be watched on TV on the ESPN network or online through live stream via the link below.
The Cowboys come into this penultimate game of the regular season with a 12-2 record and have already secured the NFC East division title and the No. 1 Playoff seeding in the NFC conference. They take on a Lions team that still has work to do, and come into today's clash on 9-5, but with the Green Bay Packers right alongside them on 9-6.
It's clear to say that the Lions have a lot more on the line in this game than the Cowboys, but even though everyone has known for months what makes this Dallas team, as yet not many have managed to do anything about it.
The Cowboys will no doubt continue to look to their strong running game and efficient pass offense as they begin to prepare for the Playoffs. However, it is not clear yet whether they will play rookies Ezekiel Elliot and Dak Prescott, or whether they will be benched to avoid any unnecessary injuries. Whether they play them or not could make or break the Lions' entire season!
Elliot has gone 1,551 yards for 13 touchdowns, which is immense for a rookie. If he plays today it could spell trouble for the Lions.
But Detroit have already received quite a boost over the Christmas weekend with Tampa Bay losing to New Orleans, which has opened the door for the Lions. They now know if they can defeat the Cowboys tonight they will secure their spot in the postseason.
