'Dance Moms' season 7 news update: Will JoJo Siwa return next season?
As the Lifetime's hit reality show "Dance Moms" prepares for the seventh season, rumor land is replete with speculations about JoJo Siwa's inevitable exit from Abby Lee Miller's dance studio. Siwa has been a target of Miller's occasional outbursts, especially during the young dancer's absence from previous competitions due to some out-of-the-show engagements.
In the first half of "Dance Moms" season 6, there were rumors that young dancers were trying to leave the show in search of greener pastures. The Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) has produced young stars like Chloe Lukasiak and Maddie Ziegler, including her sister Mackenzie, who all left the show to build their own careers.
However, in a recent interview, Siwa put all rumors to rest as she opened up about her future plans and what fans can expect in season 7.
"We've done a lot of different dances this year. We've done dances that are jazz and fun and are super exciting for me!" the 13-year-old "Dance Moms" cast member said in an interview with Enstarz. She added that she's extremely excited with what she has accomplished so far in her budding career. The teenage dancing sensation hopes to become a pop star someday.
ALDC is back for another season even after Maddie Ziegler, one the show's biggest stars, left the show earlier this year. Just a week after Lifetime Channel dropped hints of a forthcoming season, the network also announced the return of "Dance Moms'" coach Miller and her team of young dancers for the second half of the season, which is expected to start airing on Sept. 6.
"Dance Moms" season 7 will reportedly begin filming around fall. Miller is currently busy conducting a nationwide audition for season 7 cast members to replace those who have left the show.
